Concert: "Irving M. Klein International String Competition"

Observe the superb performances of string artists from all over the world who compete for some of the world's most prestigious prizes for virtuosos ages 15 to 23. The semifinal round features nine performers selected among entrants from four continents and top conservatories. Semifinalists will perform a new commissioned composition by Elena Ruehr, unaccompanied works of Bach and movements from a concerto. This year's grand prize totals $12,200 and solo appearances with the Santa Cruz and Peninsula symphonies and other performances.
