Steve Katz's new work, Time's Wallet (Counterpath Press), collecting the first 54 of an intended 137 "memoirrhoids," is the latest of some twenty books published since 1962. "This beneficent account of a life spent among artists, writers and musicians from the American '60s through the '90s by a writer of bracing fiction, is a testament to its own qualities. Steve Katz has always served it straight." Fanny Howe. Barbara Henning is the author of three novels, seven books of poetry, and a series of photo-poem pamphlets. Her most recent books are a collection of poetry and prose, Cities & Memory (Chax Press); a novel, Thirty Miles from Rosebud (BlazeVox); and a collection of object-sonnets, My Autobiography (United Artists). bBarbara Henning is a practitioner of the long view, a life adjacent, introjected, clad in parentheses. She writes words where they change lanes without signaling. Who she knows, what she knows, her knowing is voracious and nuanced and delicately aware.
