Bay Area playwright Paul Heller will talk about the improvisation methods he used to create "Beijing, California," a play that imagines the United States as an economically Third World country in which China is dominant. Actors, directors, writers, educators--all theater lovers--are invited to join a discussion about adapting the process to create your own performances. Paul has an M.F.A. in creative writing from The University of Arizona and a M.A. in secondary education from SF State. He has been writing, directing and teaching theater locally for 35 years. Seating is first come/first served.
