Reception: "Truck Drawings: From Here to There"

In this show of new works, SF State Art alumnus Jesse Houlding combines two areas of interest: process or "automatic" drawings, and the creation of systems that use natural phenomena to reveal forces either invisible or so ubiquitous that they are taken for granted. "A 16-pound steel shot put creates a mark as it rolls around on a sheet of paper, recording the trajectories of the movement of my truck as I drive," he says.
